United for Peace

The trade union movement has been a long-time voice for peace around the world and UNI calls for a world free of weapons of mass destruction, regulation of the arms trade and a reduction in military spending. In Cape Town, Co-President of International Peace Bureau, Reiner Braun told the UNI World Congress: “The peace movement and the workers movement belong together – and together we shall overcome!” (UNI Global Union)
