The ILO has been working with partners in India since 2002 to prevent and eliminate bonded labour, including that of rice mill and brick kiln workers featured in this video. But many more remain vulnerable to exploitation, working without contracts, often indebted to their employer through wage advances and loans. The ILO is tackling the root causes of the problem through an integrated approach, in which government, employers and workers all have a role to play. (ILOTV)
