La multinazionale non riconosce il sindacato, che denuncia minacce e intimidazioni. Succede nello stabilimento Nescafe in Indonesia. Fonte: Iuf Nestlé is the world's biggest food company and owns the Nescafe brand, one of the world's largest selling instant coffees. In 2008, Nestlé made US$15 billion in profit. In Indonesia, at the country's only Nescafe factory, the company refuses to negotiate wages with the workers' union at the factory. The union, SBNIP (an affiliate of the global food workers' union, the IUF), has faced intimidation and threats in its struggle to exercise basic trade union rights. Despite the fact that Indonesian and international labour law give trade unions the right to negotiate wages, Nestlé Indonesia refuses to recognise this basic right.
