Vale Rex Munn

Rex Munn aged 84 was affectionately known as "The Singing Socialist". Rex was a legend of the Labour Movement in South Australia, the President of the MUA Retired Veterans Committee, a wharfie of 36 years culminating in his election as Vigilance officer of the WWF in Port Adelaide leading to his retirement in 1987. Rex loved his Union and was a committed Socialist and continued fighting for the working class to the time of his death. He was Vice President of the SA May Day Collective and always led the May Day Dinner in renditions of the Red Flag, The Internationale and Solidarity Forever.
