Partnerships to End Child Labour in India

While child labour has not yet been eliminated in India, the Government of India and the ILO have been working together in partnership at national, state and district level to remove the remaining obstacles. Good practices developed through the years, such as improved access to income generation for parents, vocational training programs for older children and preparatory classes for children waiting to enter state schools are converging. This film and the IPEC project it examines, through the support of the United States Department of Labor, hears from children and their parents who have benefited from the convergence of these good practices. By following a cohesive, systematic approach the elimination of child labour can become a reality. (ILOTV)
